And now I am posting on a girls blog site - Does that make me even more of a rebel? Yes our Lord was the absolute rebel - He is and will remain the example we need to follow in a world where churches are selling out to lukewarm teachings and producing nice guys instead of warriors and rebels. Yes my sister, you are a rebel. See you on the front lines. Seems I've been considered a rebel all my life but not really in the sense you mean. Not from a moral center. Quite the opposite I'd say. Our moral center(s)are constantly being developed and challeneged. Whenever we choose to follow our Lord and savior instead of what the world says not to. I yearn to be more to do more for my lord. I wait on his will and for all who know me, they know that waiting is hard for me. So controlling my own impulse and listen to God is a form of rebellion. I've made personal choices that are considered odd for women in my "demographic" group. I've chosen to be single and celibate. I've chosen to live a Christ centered life. I've chosen to forgive those who've hurt me and stay away from those who have the potential to hurt me. So I guess the rebel in me is still alive and well. By that definition anyway. (True rebels act from a well-developed moral center. They know who they are and what they stand for. Most likely, they are fighting for something that they have spent a lifetime learning to love.) To be more specific, I am a rebel for Jesus' cause and strive to be obedient to Him. I do not become a rebel until I am obedient to God even though the world is against me. I love the idea!
