Let’s Meet: Let’s face it—writing wouldn’t be nearly as much fun if it weren’t for you, my readers. I want to put faces and names on you. Check out my calendar and see when I might be in your area for a book-signing or other event. Don’t see anything nearby? Find an online appearance, or take a look at my speaker info to book an event. Have mouth. Will travel.

Speaker Info:

Meredith has a background in adult education and has given workshops on writing, adoption, and church leadership topics. A graduate of the Vineyard Leadership Institute, she will graduate in May 2006. She is available to speak to any size group on the topics listed below, or contact her to discuss your individual organization’s needs. Knowing that smaller organizations and non-profit groups often have limited budgets, her fees are based on a sliding scale. Please contact her to discuss your event.

  1. More Than A Role — Encouragement for women to nurture the entirety of who God made them to be and why this is important.
  2. Making Rosalyn Be Quiet — Using the officious loop moderator character from SAHM I Am, this is a discussion for women about that voice in our heads that says we’ll never measure up, we’ll never be good enough, etc. and how to silence that voice.
  3. Bringing Work Home — Tips for being a stay-at-home parent as well as maintaining a home office.
  4. Not Plan B or Last Resort — An overview of adoption, both international and domestic, the benefits for any family, and how to get started.
  5. Momma Said There’d Be Days Like This — finding and keeping your sense of humor when your kids have trampled everything else
  6. Twice Exceptional — Encouragement and tips for parents or caregivers of a child who is gifted and learning disabled.
  7. For Better or Worse — Keeping your marriage strong in the storms of life.

*Note: these topics are focused on women’s issues or family life issues. Meredith is also developing presentations about Biblical equality, Christianity in contemporary culture, and various topics for writers. These will be added to the list when they are ready.
